Description
This is a live plant! Jacob’s Ladder Yezonese ‘Purple Rain’ is a versatile perennial, a wonderful addition to woodland gardens, but equally relevant in containers and rock gardens. This unique varietal forms a mound of stunning black-purple ferny foliage, with clusters of blue-purple flowers displayed on tall stems late spring through early summer. This makes it good as a cut flower. Deadhead Jacob’s ladder after blooming has ceased, as it tends to self-seed if flower heads are left on at the end of the growing season. Jacob’s ladder is a perfect plant for shade or woodland borders. See below for water, soil type and sun/shade recommendations.
