Description
This Jumbo Dutch Crocus flower grows from larger bulbs than species types, therefore producing noticeably bigger flowers on slightly taller stems. Their goblet-shaped blooms produce rich purples, clean whites and gold. Beginning to bloom in early Spring while the snow’s still on the ground, they will bloom a week or two behind the species crocus, which when timed correctly, can yield around a solid month of continuous color! Crocus are among the most easy to grow flowers and create a lovely, warming effect on your landscape year after year. Crocus flowers are deer-resistant perennials in zones 3-8 requiring full to partial shade. Plant in the Fall for very early Spring blooms. They naturalize, meaning they will spread slowly over time.
